Who We Are

Built by People Who Understand the Work.

Chris Diversi

Director & Co-Founder, ToolboxFM

Chris has spent 16 years in the construction industry, starting his career as an apprentice carpenter with Hutchinson Builders in Queensland in 2010.

After completing his apprenticeship, Chris progressed through leading hand, junior foreman and foreman roles before moving into senior supervision and management.

Since moving to Sydney in 2019, he has been fortunate to work on some of Sydney's largest projects, including One Sydney Harbour, Crows Nest Metro and the Harbourside redevelopment.

Working across large-scale commercial, residential and mining projects has given Chris a firsthand understanding of the challenges that come with managing people, subcontractors, high-risk work and constantly changing project environments.

His approach has always been simple:

Plan ahead.Communicate clearly.Find efficiencies.Look after your people.Take ownership.

It was through years of seeing communication breakdowns, repeated conversations and outdated ways of sharing information that the idea for ToolboxFM began.

Chris isn't a technology expert — and that's part of the point.

If I can use it, anyone can.

ToolboxFM was built to be simple enough for the people on the ground, while providing the project team with better information and visibility.

Dan Sultanowsky

Engineer & Co-Founder, ToolboxFM

Dan has spent close to a decade in software engineering, building and operating software for startups, defence and technology companies.

Before software, Dan spent nearly ten years in the Australian Special Forces. That experience shaped how he approaches software today: understand the problem, keep things simple, and build systems people can rely on.

Dan has worked across cloud infrastructure, distributed systems and software product development, with a focus on turning complex technical problems into practical tools.

The approach has always been simple:

Solve real problems.Keep it simple.Build for the user.Make it reliable.

ToolboxFM brought together Chris's firsthand experience running construction projects and Dan's experience designing and building software.

The goal was never to add more technology to construction. It was to remove the unnecessary complexity that gets in the way of doing the job.

Good software should be invisible.

Dan leads the technology and product development behind ToolboxFM, building the platform around the way construction teams actually work rather than forcing them to change how they work to suit the software.

Veteran Owned

ToolboxFM is 100% Veteran Owned.

Both founders served. Military service taught us the importance of ownership, accountability and clear communication, particularly in environments where information needs to be understood quickly and acted upon.

Those values have carried into ToolboxFM.

We care about the people who use it, the environments they work in and the outcomes they are trying to achieve.

Why we're building ToolboxFM

It started as an idea between friends

The goal is simple:

  • Build something we're proud of.
  • Something that makes people's working day easier.
  • Something that can grow beyond the industry it was created in.
  • And something that people actually want to use.

We want to see ToolboxFM operating across Australia and eventually around the world, working alongside the people who use it and continuing to improve as their needs change.

ToolboxFM — Broadcast What's Important.

If we succeed, we want others to benefit too.

Our goal from the beginning is to commit up to 5% of ToolboxFM profits to charity, split equally between charities selected by each of our founders.
